Tim has more than 21 years of experience advising healthcare organizations across all sectors of the healthcare industry, serving both as strategic counsel and as a trial advocate.

Tim is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina (MHA '98) and The University of South Carolina School of Law (JD '99).

​

He received a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Corporate Compliance from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, and is certified in Healthcare Compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association.

​

He has served as a Delegate of the LeadingAge National Legal Committee.

​

Over the course of his career, Tim has developed extensive experience in healthcare regulatory compliance, corporate governance, privacy, cybersecurity, risk management, and emerging technologies. He has advised organizations on a wide range of healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA/HITECH, GDPR, CCPA, healthcare compliance program development, regulatory investigations, governance frameworks, and enterprise risk management.

Most recently, Tim served as Deputy General Counsel for an international medical device manufacturer and electronic medical records developer with commercial operations in more than 130 countries worldwide.

Prior to serving as Deputy General Counsel, Tim held a variety of executive leadership positions within the healthcare and medical technology sectors, including Chief Compliance Officer, Global Compliance and Privacy Counsel, Lead Risk and Litigation Counsel, and Data Protection Officer.

Through Zero Day Partners, Tim provides strategic advisory services focused on healthcare compliance, privacy, AI governance, organizational leadership, and enterprise risk management. He helps organizations build effective compliance and governance programs, navigate complex regulatory requirements, manage emerging technology risks, and respond effectively to cybersecurity and privacy incidents.
